Cascade Canyon Winter Train Excursion

Embark on an unforgettable roundtrip journey from Durango to Cascade Canyon, offering breathtaking views of the Animas River and snow-capped Rocky Mountains. Cascade Canyon is the perfect setting for a fire-side lunch, photo opportunities or a walk along the Animas River during your 60-minute layover. Your 5.25 hour, 80-kilometre round-trip excursion includes Presidential Class 'Cinco Animas' preferred seating with outdoor views, available on select dates from the 22nd November to the 2nd May.

Travel USA has selected a choice of three hotels to work with in Durango: the historic Strater Hotel, a Victorian gem offering elegant rooms and classic charm; the General Palmer Hotel, a refined, centrally-located property with modern amenities and easy access to downtown; and Leland House Suites, a boutique hotel offering spacious suites with a home-like atmosphere. While we’re confident one of these options will meet your needs, we’re also happy to provide quotes for any other hotel in Durango if you have a specific preference.
