Whilst in nearby Fort Worth, embrace the cowboy spirit as rodeos and Western heritage come alive, painting the town with a rustic charm.

Nature's wonders also beckon with Big Bend National Park's desert canyons and Guadalupe Mountains, home to the highest point in Texas, offering outdoor enthusiasts their own unique adventures. Whilst for sports lovers there are 11 major sports franchises to choose from including the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets and Texas Rangers.

Grab your hat and boots and head to Fort Worth Stockyards. This historic district located just 30 minutes out of Dallas celebrates the city's cattle industry and cowboy heritage. Once a major livestock market, it now serves as a popular tourist destination with its Western-themed attractions, including rodeos, cattle drives, local eateries, and live music venues. 

Space Centre Houston

Houston, Texas

Get up close and personal at Space Centre Houston - your opportunity to learn about space exploration, space missions and the history of the U.S. space programme at the NASA Johnson Space Centre. The centre showcases space artifacts, simulators and exhibits including actual spacecraft used on missions. Visitors can also select from various Tram Tour experiences subject to availability on the day.

Big Bend National Park

Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza

Part of the specially designated LBJ National Historic Park that protects the birthplace, home, ranch, and grave of America’s 36th president, Lyndon B Johnson. Visitors are able to tour the Ranch at their own pace, in their own vehicle, with the ability to stop at well preserved sites along the way.  For fans of LBJ his Presential Library is located some 80km away in the nearby state capital city of Austin.

Open only on Saturdays it attracts BBQ enthusiasts from all over the world to savour their mouth-watering brisket, sausage, and ribs. But be warned - people start turning up at 3.00 am …. and the doors open at 8!  Certainly, makes for a totally unique experience – and the chance to meet new friends …. but we recommend you take a blanket and some drinks …. oh, and a folding chair!

George W. Bush Presidential Centre

Dallas, Texas
