Located just outside the cowboy town of Wickenburg, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Kay El Bar is an authentic intimate western dude ranch, just over an hour northwest of Phoenix, Arizona. Discover abandoned gold mines along the rocky mountain trails or ride through the sandy Hassayampa Riverbed. Become a part of the Kay El Bar Family and enjoy the hospitality and wonder of this oldest operating dude ranch on the National Register.
In the lodge there is a choice of king, queen or twin rooms available each with a private modern bath, hand-painted Monterey furniture and a collection of western artwork. Guests can also choose the Casa Grande, tucked away under towering salt cedar and eucalyptus trees which features a sitting area and fireplace. In addition, there is the Homestead House, which was built in the early 1900s and served as the dude ranch headquarters when the Kay El Bar was a cattle ranch. Today it retains the original thick-walled adobe ranch style and is a two-bedroom, two-bath casita. Spacious and comfortable, with its own living room and fireplace, it’s perfect for families, two couples or small groups and accommodates up to seven people.
