Blackwater creek lodge & guest ranch

Explore the area once dubbed "the most scenic 50 miles in the U.S." by Teddy Roosevelt. Set along the banks of the scenic Shoshone River and its namesake Blackwater Creek, the ranch is nestled in the mountains of Shoshone National Forest just 24 kilometres east of Yellowstone National Park. Classic dude ranch adventures await, horseback riding in the Wyoming wilderness, take a hand at archery, sport shooting and picturesque hiking, plus special events and evening entertainment. 

The ranch’s historic log cabins are nestled in a grove of tall trees, close to the murmuring waters of the Shoshone River and Blackwater Creek. Built beginning in 1915 with the last completed in the 1950s, each cabin has its own bathroom and some have multiple bedrooms. They are all furnished with cozy bedding, Navajo rugs, and western appointments. Meals during your dude ranch experience will range from cocktails and dinners enjoyed in the expansive, rustic lodge, cook-outs and campfires or sack lunches out on the trail meaning you'll get to enjoy a taste of Wyoming with locally inspired dishes and traditional ranch recipes.

Travel USA's ranch packages include lodging, three meals daily, all horseback riding (excluding lessons), target shooting and archery ensuring a unique, easy to budget holiday experience - we can also organise a rental car for your convenience. Our 3-night package includes white water rafting or a trip into Cody whilst guests staying for 6-nights will also get to enjoy a tour of Yellowstone National Park. During June, July and August guests may also get to attend the Cody Nite Rodeo.
